I know, it seems we are betraying our British roots. This poem is meant to be ironic, I want to experiment with what actually makes up a poem and whether it can be considered a poem or not.
some people were talking about this at Voiceworks last night, like does a work of fiction have to have a point. I think the general consensus was that fiction doesn't have to mean anything or say anything. I guess the same applies to poetry? I think as long as there's skill in the execution it can be appreciated on some level. Like it has to be lyrical or poetic to some extent, you know?
It weirds me seeing meter written like that, even though I know it's the right way. We are doing a good thing here.
